Brothers, my name is Tré Gaston and I am a Mason with Columbia Lodge #58 (AF&AM) in Frederick, Maryland. My Professor for Jiu Jitsu has encountered some issues with an officer at the U.S. Consulate. Joao Marco Albuquerque was here in the U.S. on a sports Visa and has been teaching Jiu Jitsu at ZR Team Cape Fear in North Carolina for almost a year now. He has been abiding by all the rules set for him and when he went to his appointment this morning at 0730 the gentleman at the consulate called him a liar and through out his visa. Professor Marco trains under Professor Zed who is also a Mason in Brazil. My hopes are that in some way we as masons can help get Professor Marco back to the states so he can continue his live as a Jiu Jitsu teacher and go back to Brazil every year as required. So mote it be!
